Hey, it's me, Casey. I recorded this album in my brother's basement in Montauk, NY. Okay, so: A few years ago, I got a really cool old organ from my friend Joe Pecora. Whoops - It was too big for my small Brooklyn apartment. So I "donated" it to my brother's house. After some time, I missed the organ so much that I decided that during a 4 day trip to the house over New Years (2019 into 2020) that I should record a covers album using only the organ's drum machine, the organ itself, and an acoustic guitar. Everything you hear is recorded with a microphone held up to either the organ's speaker, the hole in the acoustic guitar, or my dumb mouth. The exception being the drums on "Under Control" - I had to sweeten it up with a Linn drum machine. I engineered the record myself and used GarageBand on my iPad to mix the tracks. As for the song selection, there isn't much that connects these tunes except that I think they're all well-written songs. I hope you like it. I hope when you listen you picture me holding a microphone with one hand and pushing the organ's floor pedals with my other hand to get the bass notes. I hope you picture a cold, quiet beach town that my wife and I like to visit in the offseason. I hope you don't think it sucks butt. Thanks for listening.
